Players must be 65 years or older by December 31, 2026, to be eligible to play in this league. The 2025 Year-End ratings will be used. Teams are comprised of all men or all women who compete in separate leagues with a combined rating of partners not greater than the division maximum AND the difference between the partner ratings must not be greater than 1.0. For each division, the team with the best match win/loss record will be eligible to compete in the Texas Sectionals tournament. Any level can advance directly to sectionals without having a local league. If there is a local league, each player must play at least twice to be eligible to play at Sectionals.

9.0 Men: Deadline to register a doubles team is 10/1/26
Each area can submit a doubles team and an alternate to participate in the 65+ 9.0 Men’s Sectional Invitational event.
At Sectionals, the teams will play a Round Robin to Playoff draw format. The winners of each group will advance to the semifinals. Each Round Robin’s winners will be given a spot on the team that will be sent to the National Invitational, occupying 8 of the 10 spots. All 8 will receive Sectional winner prizes.
The winners of the playoff bracket will be named Co-Captains of the National Invitational team. They will receive the banner for winning Sectionals. They will also select the last two players for the National Invitational team from the remaining players who’ve participated in the event.
Playoffs: Playoffs will not be required this season. The top finisher in each flight will advance to Sectionals. All regular season matches must be completed to advance to playoffs or Sectionals.
